Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I learn about COVID-19 safety information?

What is the difference between Online Streams & Watch Parties?

TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival performances are offered as both Online Streams and Watch Parties (in-person film screenings).

Online Streams allow you to watch all performances from home at their designated performance times. See the Festival Schedule for showtimes (all times listed in Pacific Daylight Time). Please note that you cannot rewind an online performance or rewatch at a later date.

Watch Parties are in-person film screenings of the performance. They will take place at the TRANSFORM Cabaret Club on stage, at The Cultch’s Historic Theatre located at 1895 Venables Street in Vancouver, BC.

Online Stream and Watch Parties performances will be followed by After Shows featuring interviews, A DJ and additional performances. A Zoom link will be provided for those who watch the show online.

What is the difference between Solo Party and Bubble Party Online Tickets?

Tickets for Online Streams are available in two formats: Solo Party and Bubble Party.

Solo Party Tickets are for one person to access an Online Stream of a performance.

Bubble Party Tickets are for two people to access an Online Stream of a performance.

Are the performances live?

All the TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival performances have been pre-recorded and are shown at their designated performance times. Whether you are attending an in-person Watch Party or tuning in for an Online Stream, you can enjoy the audience experience and After Shows.

The After Parties are happening live after each show, and if you are attending an Online Stream, you can join the celebration via Zoom!

The After Show says it’s live. I don’t understand what that means. Do I have to attend in person?

If you are attending a Watch Party (in-person film screening) the After Show will take place at The Historic Theatre immediately following the performance.

If you have joined an Online Stream, we invite you to join us following the stream over Zoom for the After Show. You will be prompted to join a post-show video conversation with the artists, on the watch page below the screen. You will also find this link in your performance reminder email.

What do I need to watch the Online Streams?
To watch the show you’ll need the watch link and password which is provided to you once you purchase an Online Ticket.

You will find this link both on the invoice of your purchase as well as on your print-at-home ticket which comes in an attachment to your email confirmation.

Can’t find your info before showtime? Not to worry, you will also receive the link along with more show information in a performance reminder just before your show. If you still need help finding your ticket feel free to email our box office at boxoffice@thecultch.com or call us at 604-251-1363.
What technical requirements will I need to watch the Online Streams?

All you’ll need to watch our shows is a PC, laptop, phone or iPad/tablet and ideally a strong wifi connection.

If you’d like to cast the show to a larger screen/TV you may need to use other devices such as Apple TV, Google Chrome or an HDMI cable to connect your wireless device to your screen.

Is there technical support available during the performance?

If you are having trouble accessing the show, our box office attendants are available to help you via live chat. Simply click on the bottom left hand of your screen on the button that reads “Need Help? Chat Now!” and we’d be happy to help you in real-time.

We can also be reached by email at boxoffice@thecultch.com or by phone at 604-251-1363

Are the shows kid-friendly?

Most of the shows in TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival were created with an adult audience in mind.

For families with young children, we recommend the Duckie performances (check out our Sept 26th and Oct 2nd matinee showtimes).

Are these digital shows accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing?

Some performances will have captions, available via a separate show link. Please contact our box office, or look for the separate link in the performance reminder. Unfortunately, the live, post-show conversations will not be captioned.

We can be reached by email at boxoffice@thecultch.com or by phone at 604-251-1363.
